We have been asked a numerous times this week whether the lender or the solicitors (on either side of the transaction) must to see their clients face to face. If you are a lender or solicitor acting in a transaction and taking advantage of our Perfect Title policy there is no requirement for face to face meetings in this time of recommended isolation.

The government's announcement in the Autumn Statement that it would be consulting on the privatisation of the Land Registry has raised concerns regarding the potential for fraud and manipulation of the data currently held at the Registry.
Do the proposed reforms to the Irish planning system go far enough?

The proposals in the Bills are likely to be enshrined in law in late 2015. Until such time as more is known about the final draft of the legislation and the resources available for implementation, questions will remain over how effective the new system will be, but the new approach outlined in the Bills is certainly a step in the right direction.
